Christian Education

Parent-Child Faith Stories

This group meets during the Christian Education Hour at 9 AM in the first floor classroom near the entrance from the parking lot. Our hope is for parents and their PreK children and designed to provide an opportunity to get to know each other while providing material to engage the children in fellowship and faith exploration.

Parent-Child Faith Stories will return in September!

Music and Mission Sundays

On select Sundays through the school year, instead of our traditional Sunday School classes for children and youth at 9 AM, we will have a group program with a focus on music and mission activities, each with a different theme.

Childcare is provided from 8:45-11:15 AM on Sunday mornings for infants and toddlers. For more information please contact Amy Brodersen ( or Pat Guglielmi (

Young Disciples

Young Disciples is a program focused upon children under 10 who made need an alternate experience during worship that involves a bit more movement. Children who wish to participate are invited to go upstairs to Room 218 after the Time With Children. The program features songs and lighting of candles, a call to worship and prayers, reading and reflection upon the scripture. At certain times of the year, there is a focus upon a mission project. The goal is always to return to the main service to participate in communion and the sending forth.

5th Sundays Youth Led Services

These youth led and adult mentored services are a great way for our children and youth to learn about the components of worship and provide them with opportunities to deepen their connection with God through worship leadership. Youth take on leadership roles for all aspects of these services: greeting and ushering, leading prayers and music, reading scripture and sharing a reflection or a chancel drama.

Youth Choir

All children are invited to join this choir that performs in worship a few times a year. Contact Jonathan Evers at for more information.

Junior Youth Fellowship

Known as JYF, this group is open to children in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. The kids gather monthly during the school year for dinner and focus on faith, fellowship, and fun through conversation, games, and mission activities.

First Friday Family Fellowship

First Friday Family Fellowship is a program designed to give families with young children a chance to get together for food, fun, fellowship and faith development. On selected Fridays, families with young children are invited to gather in the Fellowship Room for a potluck dinner and an activity centered around a particular mission and faith practice or season of the church year.
